1. How long is the workshop? Where is the venue?
The workshop will be held on 19th May 2018 (Saturday) from 8.00AM to 5.00PM at Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya Kuala Lumpur. The detailed programme tentative will be posted on the website and official page before the event. Click HERE for the information regarding the venue.
2. Who are eligible to join the workshop?
All students who are interested in the medical field are welcomed to join our workshop. There is no age limit or the minimum requirement of academic qualification. Students who have the great interest in medicine and are currently studying in Form 5 or with higher academic qualifications are highly welcomed to join us.
3. What should I wear during the workshop?
The dress code for the workshop is formal attire. Participants are compulsory to wear lab coat/white coat during the hospital tour. Please bring your own lab coat/white coat. Besides, we suggest that you bring a jacket or sweater due to the cold air-conditioned environment in the auditorium.
4. Do you provide transportation to the Faculty?
No. We do not provide transportation for participants.
5. Do you provide accommodation for participants who not staying in KL/PJ?
No. We do not provide accommodation for participants.
6. I plan to drive to the workshop. Are there any parking spaces available at the Faculty?
Yes, but there are only limited parking spaces available. Please arrive earlier to avoid congestion during peak hour.
7. By attending the workshop, will this affect my interview result for the intake of
University of Malaya Medical Programme?
No. This workshop is organized by University of Malaya Medical Society (UM MEDSOC) which is a student society under Faculty of Medicine. The acceptance and recruitment of students in University of Malaya are fully handled by the Admission Unit of the university. We do not have any affiliation with them. However, this would be a good platform to understand more about medicine as well as the medical academic programme in University of Malaya.
8. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I am not able to attend the workshop. But I have
paid the ticket fees, can I get a refund?
All tickets sold are not refundable.
9. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I am not able to attend the workshop. Can I find
someone to substitute my place?
Any form of substitution is not allowed.
10. I have missed the registration period, can I still register?
The workshop is only open for online registration from 2nd April (12.00PM GMT+8) to 5th May 2018 (11.59PM GMT+8). Walk-in registration is not allowed.
11. I am a Muslim and I will be fasting on 19th May 2018. Will I get a refund if I do not take
the food?
No. We will provide sealed-packaging food as an alternative so that you can bring it back.
